Undeniably, the star during the Volkswagen Group Night was the Porsche Mission E concept, but its bread-and-butter products are not to be underestimated.
Skoda’s offering at the 2015 IAA is the Superb SportLine; nothing to shout home about, sure, but a fair effort to add a bit of spice to the brand’s flagship.
Available as both a saloon and estate, aka Combi, with all current engines, it comes with a 15 mm lower sports suspension, 18- or 19-inch black alloy wheels, black trim and “SunSet” (i.e. tinted) rear side windows and back window on the outside and new sports seats, aluminum pedals and a leather sports steering wheel on the inside.
“The new Superb marks the dawn of a new era for ŠKODA”, said company CEO Winfried Vahland. “Our new flagship fulfils our mission to combine our best qualities of maximum space and highest functionality with expressive and passionate design. The new SportLine version sharpens the emotional appearance of the new Superb in a special way.”
The saloon has been available in Europe since June, while the Combi will reach its first markets before the end of this month.
