SsangYong has made itself known over the last few years as a maker of futuristic-yet-traditional-looking concepts that are really not bad at all, foreshadowing a promising design direction for the brand.

As a reminder, SsangYong was credited with making some of the ugliest cars back in the early 2000s.

One of its most recent examples is the XAV-Adventure, basically a re-imagining of the Korando for the future. It’s not the first time we’ve laid eyes on it, as it was unveiled in Korea earlier this year, but now it’s made its European debut at the Frankfurt motor show.

The concept is completely untouched since its Asian debut and can be equipped with either a 1.6-liter petrol, 1.6-liter diesel or an E-4WD system which we presume is similar to what Lexus or Peugeot use.
