By definition, gray is an intermediate color (between white and black), that some people can find rather dull to look at. That is, unless it’s all over a BMW M4.
The M4 will generally make it easy for you to add certain exterior mods such as custom spoilers, a wing, wheels and fenders. Some do go overboard when pushing their luck by adding vents (for example), which interrupt the car’s flowing lines, and if you’re an M3/M4 purist, that’s a big, big no-no.
This car however sticks to its guns really well, even with that mid-sized wing, which doesn’t really bother the design of the rear that much thanks to the fact that it’s not as wide as others we’ve seen.
The rest of the car is a bit unassuming, but that’s probably the whole idea behind it – to keep it simple, yet increase the aggressiveness and to make it look more “scary”, maybe?
If that’s the look you’re going for, you obviously can’t be wearing chromed wheels or anything of that nature.
This set of 19″ matte black HRE FlowForm FF01s are basically ideal considering the color of the body and overall, we do kind of get a Concept M4 GTS vibe from this – without the Acid Orange design of course.
So is this car less elegant than a normal M4? A little bit, yes. But unless you strap on a wide-body kit, you’d be hard pressed to call it “extreme”.
