Everybody wants a piece of the BMW M3 with Cadillac throwing into the pit the ATS-V and Mercedes doing the same with their new C63 AMG.
This is arguably one of the toughest seasons for BMW’s iconic model as the competition seems to have stepped up significantly its game. Motor Trend magazine brings two of its most direct rivals and compares them in order to find out if the time has finally come to dethrone the M3.
The Cadillac ATS-V uses a twin-turbo 3.6-litre V6, making 464hp and 444lb ft (601Nm) of torque while the Mercedes C63 S AMG is powered by an also twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 which delivers 503hp and 516lb ft (700Nm) of torque. These are some serious numbers.
