While Ford’s European SUV lineup includes the EcoSport, Kuga and Edge, Russia also gets the facelifted Explorer.
Ford and its joint venture partner Sollers have launched full-cycle production of the Explorer at their plant in Elabuga, Republic of Tatarstan. The facelifted Ford Explorer is available for Russian customers in four grades (XLT, Limited, Limited Plus, Sport), with prices starting from 2,599,000 Roubles ($40,480).
The Explorer is offered in Russia with two engines, the Cyclone 3.5-liter V6 delivering 249hp and the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 delivering 345hp. Both engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
