The practical Sports Tourer is the latest addition to the new Opel/Vauxhall Astra’s range, offering bigger space for its passengers and luggage.
Thanks to a new lighter structure, the new Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer weighs 130kg less than its predecessor despite retaining the same dimensions. That means that the luggage capacity now reaches up to 1,630 litres with the rear seats folded, 80 litres more than the outgoing version.
Vauxhall’s version of the Astra Sports Tourer is also up to £1,870 cheaper than before, offering a simplified range that includes Design, Tech Line, SRi and Elite trim levels. With a petrol/diesel engine range that starts from 95PS and all the way up to 200PS, the new Astra Sports Tourer offers plenty of options, with the turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol ecoFLEX option starting from £17,285.
The same version emits just 96g/km of CO2 when paired with the Easytronic five-speed automatic gearbox. Other options include the 110PS 1.6-litre diesel model, priced from £18,785, which returns an average 85.6mpg UK and 86g/km of CO2 emissions and of course the range-topping 200PS 1.6-litre turbo petrol option priced from £21,170.
Built in Britain, the new Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer is expected to reach the UK dealerships in March, with prices starting from £16,585 for the base Design trim level.
