Renault has announced prices for the new Talisman sedan and Talisman Estate in France.
With taxes, prices for the Renault Talisman start from €27,900 ($30,875), while the Talisman Estate begins from €29,100 ($32,215). Both versions will be available in France with a choice of five equipment levels: Life, Zen, Business, Intens and Initiale Paris.
Standard features for the entry-level Life model include LED daytime running lights, cruise control with speed limiter, electronic parking brake, hill start assist, rain and light sensors, digital TFT instruments, electric windows front and rear, electrically-adjustable door mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control with toxicity sensor, as well as a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear lever knob.
The Zen trim level adds Multi-Sense technology for customizable driving enjoyment, the R-Link 2 connected tablet complete with seven-inch touch screen display, front and rear parking sensors, a hands-free card which triggers the lights when the card-holder approaches the vehicle, massaging driver’s seat and 17-inch Bayadère alloy wheels.
In addition to all these features, the Business equipment level gets a reversing camera and blind spot alert (Protection Pack), along with active emergency braking, safe distance alert, adaptive cruise control and head-up data display (Driver Aid pack).
The Intens trim level adds the R-Link 2 connected tablet with an 8.7-inch touch screen display, the Driver Aid Pack (active emergency braking, safe distance alert, adaptive cruise control and head-up data display) and the Visio System Pack (automatic main/dipped beam head lights, excess speed warning, traffic sign recognition and lane departure warning). Intens models also sport distinctive styling features such as Pure Vision LED lights, 18-inch Duetto alloy wheels and mixed simile leather/fabric upholstery.
Finally, the luxurious Initiale Paris trim brings exclusive design features and equipment including Améthyste Black metallic paint, 19-inch Initiale Paris wheels, Nappa full-grain graded grey or black leather upholstery, heated/ventilated electric front seats with 10-way adjustability, 4Control chassis with four-wheel steering and active damping (4Control Pack), a reversing camera, blind spot alert and more.
At launch, three diesel engines will be available: the Energy dCi 110 ECO2 and the Energy dCi 130 with manual six-speed gearbox, and the Energy dCi 160 with six-speed dual clutch EDC transmission. The Energy TCe 200 petrol engine will also be offered in combination with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Later on, three new engines will be added: the Energy TCe 150 EDC with seven-speed dual clutch EDC transmission, the Energy dCi 110 ECO2 and the Energy dCi 130 with six-speed dual clutch EDC transmission.
Order books open on November 3 for the Talisman and in early 2016 for the Talisman Estate.
