The new Honda HR-V is one of the most commercially important models in the brand’s range right now as everyone seems to be buying a crossover these days.

We tend to forget that Honda was one of the founders of the compact crossover segment back in 1998, when the original HR-V was launched. The latest generation enters a much busier segment with the ambition to steal sales from the likes of Nissan Qashqai and Mazda CX-3.

For some reason, many of its opponents are a bit awkward to look at when Honda actually managed to made the HR-V look smart and dynamic enough to generate a lot of interest.
