While red and white generally work very nicely together, the fact that it’s extremely difficult to pull off gloss red wheels is pretty well documented.

Some might say that the problem with these wheels is that they make the car a little bit too of a…show-off. It does sort of look like it belongs on the podium of some 2nd tier tuning competition, which is precisely why others would consider having nothing to do with this type of color combination.

One of our readers used the term “silly wheels” when looking at an equally white Audi S7, sitting on a set of equally red custom wheels. It did kind of work, even though those were Vossen VPS-309 wheels and these are ADV15 MV2s, measuring 22×9 at the front and 22×11 at the rear.

The M6 Gran Coupe itself is of course a beast. It’s got 560 PS and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) which make for a great combo as the car is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. On paper, these numbers position it right between the M4 and the M5, although sharing a 0.3 second blanket isn’t exactly worth much in real world terms.

This car also happens to be a 2014 M6 Gran Coupe, obviously ‘Merican, which means that it cost its owner somewhere around $117,200 MSRP. That’s today’s price, anyway.

It’s worth noting that the M6 GC is BMW‘s 2nd most expensive M-Division car, behind the M6 Convertible. Its direct rival, the Audi RS7, costs less at $108,900 MSRP and is quite a bit quicker off the line, thanks to its all-wheel drive system.

Not trying to pull on anyone’s chain but some people might take that into consideration when deciding on what wickedly fast 4-door car they’re going to buy.
