Even before it came out in early 2014, people knew that the most track-capable Chevy Camaro in history would retail for around $75,000, a lot more than the more powerful ZL1.
As the previous generation Camaro-based Z/28 is now going on two years, it seems that Chevy might be feeling a little bit remorseful of the car’s initial price tag, though not necessarily because it’s not a valuable product. The truth of the matter is that some if not most people might prefer spending that type of money on an everyday sports car, not one specifically designed to go racing.
The good news is that if you hit up Autotrader right now, you might find as many as 60 Camaro Z/28s on sale at various Chevy dealers, for under $60,000.
In fact, you’ll find quite a lot of them at around $55,000 or less, which pretty much makes this a $20,000 discount. One of them is even priced at $51,918 from its original $76,935 – which stands for a $25,017 discount.
Those of you who might have shied away from spending full retail price on the Z/28 might feel extremely tempted now, especially since you’d be buying a 505HP naturally aspirated track-focused muscle car that went around the Nurburgring faster than the Lexus LFA and the Lamborghini Murcielago, for the price of ZL1.
Oh, and compared to the ZL1, the Z/28 proved to be four seconds faster around the ‘Ring – which is the type of thing you can always bring up when out with your friends.
Since Black Friday is arguably the best time of the year when it comes to buying expensive things, why not treat yourself to a couple of nice useful trinkets or gadgets before topping things off with a freaking Chevrolet Camaro Z/28?
