Sometimes, an 8,4-litre V10 with 643 hp isn’t enough – said no one ever.
Yet Geiger heard something else and probably that’s why the German tuning company offered a power upgrade for the amazingly potent poisonous Viper. To top it off, a subtle body-kit was also installed, making the snake a little more ferocious to complement its new power surge.
Speaking of which, by mating the gigantic V10 engine with a special air-box, a new exhaust system with manifolds and sport catalysts, and a new, optimized ECU software, Geiger managed to raise its grunt up to 710 PS (700 hp) and 861 Nm (635 lb-ft) of torque, hence the car’s name: GTS 710R.
The result? Well, it depends on how heavy your foot is, or courageous, for that matter. If someone dares to press the pedal to the metal, then the GTS 710R catapults itself from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, and keeps on accelerating all the way to 341 km/h (212 mph).
But Geiger knows power is nothing without control, and that’s why the tuner opted for a LW coil-over suspension with adjustable rebound damping to reduce the roll and to offer lower center of gravity, making the 295/30 ZR18 and 355/30 ZR19 tires stick firmly to the asphalt.
The styling package isn’t that obvious, but it does have in-house build carbon fiber elements, which make the entire project even more bespoke than it already is. So, if the Viper already comes with 710 PS, it might as well sport a front lip, a rear spoiler and a diffuser.
The price for this upgrades will take you back €22,466 ($24,130), of which €11900 ($12,781) are just the engine upgrades.
