The production version of the new-gen Acura NSX will make its Californian debut in two days, at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The NSX was officially unveiled earlier this year at the 2015 NAIAS, but California is America’s largest sports car market, with Acura set to show the car in “a never-before displayed color“.
The 2017 Acura NSX is a hybrid supercar, carrying a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine under its hood, rated at 500hp (507PS) and 406lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque.
The internal combustion unit is assisted by a TMU (Twin Motor Unit), driving the front wheels and generating 72hp (73PS) and 108lb-ft (146Nm) of torque, along with a Rear Direct Drive Motor, which is mounted between the V6 and the 9-speed dual-clutch transmission, producing 47hp (48PS) and 109lb-ft (148Nm) of torque.
The total output of the 3,803 lbs (1,725 kg) supercar stands at 573hp (581PS) and it helps it reach an estimated top speed of 191 mph (307 km/h).
Besides the NSX, Acura will also showcase the TLX sport sedan, the TLX GT, its “road-racing alter-ego“, the RLX and RLX Sport Hybrid sedans, and the RDX and MDX SUVs. The 2015 L.A. Auto Show will open for the press on Wednesday, November 18.
