Fans of the original film “The Italian Job” surely remember the orange Lamborghini Miura from the opening scene, driving along the highway. Could this be “the most famous Lamborghini ever made”? Arguably, but it is looking for a new home.
The supercar is in original condition and it wears the chassis number 3,568. This is a “second series” Miura 400 and it has a 1mm thicker chassis. It was produced back in 1968 and it had 5 owners, who have driven it for 19,000 km (11,800 miles), throughout its entire lifetime.
In 2011, its engine block was replaced “due to a hairline crack“, but the original one comes with the car as well. This is also the same year when the Arancio Miura (Miura Orange) paint was refreshed too. The interior, however, is stock and it has the white leather-wrapped seats.
Under its hood, the famous Miura has a transverse 3,929cc V12 mid-engine and a 5-speed manual sending approximately 350 PS (345 HP) to the rear wheels.
The seller hasn’t announced any official pricing info on the classic Italian exotic, but considering previous similar examples, this particular model could end up selling for $1m, or even more.
