One of the hottest examples of the Porsche 918 Spyder has popped up for sale. The hypercar is currently found in Canada and it wears a gorgeous Gulf Blue and Orange livery on its body, while the standard exterior Acid Green elements were deleted.
It is a direct reference to the 917 with the same colors that gave Porsche its first-ever win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race and were made famous worldwide by Steve McQueen in his “Le Mans” film.
The “Gulf” lettering is embroidered into the headrests and the cabin adds the orange accents too, which are visible on the seats, steering wheel and other parts of the interior. The Burmester high-end surround sound system, along with the carbon floor mats and the Porsche Motorsport six-point racing harnesses, are also worth mentioning.
The seller says that the model is signed by Porsche Exclusive and is equipped with the weight-saving and aerodynamics Weissach Package. This includes carbon fiber fins on the rear bumper, magnesium wheels and other features. On top of that, a special order luggage from Porsche Exclusive, in carbon and Gulf Blue and Orange, is also being offered.
Details like the mileage and asking price haven’t been disclosed so far, but they are available upon request to interested parties who wish to add the 887 HP plug-in hybrid hypercar to their collection.
