These are the most insane muscle cars ever to be produced, but only one of them will come on top.
Muscle car fans never had it better, right? This is a golden era for the big, noisy V8 murderers without a doubt. Never before in the history of the mankind could you actually claim that a muscle car is a valid performance car that can put snobby Euro sports cars to shame.
On the one hand we have the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, a track weapon with a huge 7-litre LS7 engine pumping out 505hp and enough torque to rip your arms off your shoulders as you hold tight on the steering wheel.
On the other there is Ford’s Mustang GT350R, the most track-capable Mustang paired with a screaming 526hp flat-plane crank V8, carbon wheels and all the aero-wizardry you normally get from supercars.
The muscle-car game has moved on so far with these two models, I’m not even sure we should keep calling them “muscle cars”. Motor Trend brings them together and finds out which one is faster, grippier and overall more ridiculously fun to drive both on road and on track.
Prepare for some outstanding V8 music in the video that follows below.
