Ford of Europe has announced the introduction of the new Focus Red and Black Editions.
Originally unveiled during the 2015 Essen Motor Show, and reminding us of its smaller brother, the Fiesta, which received similar tweaks back in 2014, the new Focus Red Edition and Black Edition are now available for order in Germany.
The blue oval says that the Red Edition has a Race Red exterior contrasted by the Panther Black grille surround, side mirror caps and roof, while the Black Edition reverses the color combination.
Both models have 18-inch alloy wheels, black grille insert, Race Red diffuser element, Race Red stiching on the front passenger sports seats, on the leather wrapped steering wheel, gearshift lever, handbrake handle and floor mats, along with stainless steel sports pedals.
Ford mentions a standard sport suspension system too, with 10 percent stiffened front and rear springs, front anti-roll bar and he tuned shock absorbers.
The petrol engine lineup available with the two special editions includes the 1.0-liter EcoBoost 125PS (123hp), along with the 1.5-liter EcoBoost in two versions, 150PS (148hp) and 182PS (179hp). Diesel units include the 1.5-liter TDCi with 120PS (118hp) and the 2.0-liter TDCi with 150PS (148hp). All models get a six-speed manual transmission.
