The 375th and final example of the P1 has just rolled out of the McLaren factory, ending the production of one of the fastest cars on the planet.
The last Mclaren P1 produced is finished in a pearlescent orange shade, echoing the color of the 64th and final Mclaren F1 road car, chassis #075. The final example features details finished in raw carbon fiber, including the splitter, diffuser and the side blades on the side while the wheels are finished in silver.
The cabin features unique touches from the company’s MSO department, like the gloss black detailing for the switchgear, instrument surrounds and the air vents while the lightweight carbon fiber-shelled seats to be dressed in black and orange Alcantara with contrasting stitching on the steering wheel.The final car was photographed next to the first production P1 example, finished in Ice Silver.
Mike Flewitt, Chief Executive Officer at McLaren commented: “The McLaren P1 has achieved more than we ever expected of it since it was first previewed little over three years ago, both as a new generation of supercar, and in enhancing the McLaren brand globally.”
The hybrid hypercar uses a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 and an integrated electric motor to produce 916PS (903hp) and 900Nm (664lb ft) of torque, allowing it to sprint to 62mph (0-100km/h) in 2.8 seconds, with 124mph (200km/h) coming in 6.8 seconds and 186mph (300km/h) in 16.5 seconds while the top speed is limited to 217mph (350km/h).
Each and every car was custom-built to the exacting specifications of its owner, ensuring that no two cars are the same. Each individual model took 17 days to complete on average in the factory.
Mclaren is about to also complete the production of the track-only 1000PS (986hp) P1 GTR and released the exact number of how many P1s have built so far, including the prototypes: 13 “Experimental Prototypes”, 5 “Validation Prototypes”, 3 Pre-production cars and 375 production units with the most popular color for the customers to be the Volcano Yellow shade.
