Nissan‘s global production has increased for the seventh consecutive year with sales in some markets also rising.
In November, Nissan built 461,127 vehicles. That’s 6.2 per cent more than last year and is the same percentage increase enjoyed by Japanese production now sitting at 66,680 units. Outside of Japan, production also rose by 6.2 per cent year-on-year to 394,447 cars.
The Untied States produced 82,119 Nissan cars, 9.6 per cent more than November 2014 while Mexican production jumped by 3.9 per cent to 70,395. Chinese production rose by 14 per cent while production in the UK and Spain declined by 2.4 per cent and 17.1 per cent respectively.
In terms of sales, November 2015 represented the first month in the second half of the year where global sales have decreased. With that being said, they only declined by 0.9 per cent and totaled 438,557 units. In Japan, sales decreased with a drop of 9.3 per cent for mini-vehicles.
Sales in the U.S. and Mexico both hit all time records for the month of November but in Europe, China and other regions, sales fell by 3.3 per cent.
In terms of Nissan’s exports from Japan, they increased 8.2 per cent to 43,637 units.
