While the automotive world is continuing to flip out over the impending 2017 Ford GT, a rare 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition has just been listed for sale from Cats Exotics in Washington for $374,888.
While that price tag is similar to the new car’s rumored $400k sticker price, the ’06 GT Heritage Edition could gain value in the coming years and decades particularly if Ford doesn’t create a similar special edition variant of the 2017 car.
This particular Ford GT Heritage Edition is one of just 343 units ever produced and impressively, has covered a mere 7,617 miles, despite being 10 years old. All Heritage Edition models came from the factory adorned with an iconic Gulf Oil racing inspired livery and this one is no different. It combines the bright shades of orange and blue in such a way as to remain classy while still edgy and exceptionally eye-catching.
Elsewhere, this model has been adorned with the optional lightweight aluminium wheels priced at $4,500 alongside painted brake calipers and a Mcintosh stereo system. To held protect the most vulnerable painted panels, there is a clear bra across the front.
The most recent service was conducted just 2000 miles ago and the new owner will also receive two sets of keys and the original OEM car cover.
