If you don’t like your 911 Turbo stock, but also don’t want people to see you coming a mile away, then TechArt’s Porsche 991 Turbo/Turbo S program might be worth looking into.
As you can see, this is a pretty basic Aero Kit, since it rather looks after the style of your 911 more than it tries to change it significantly. The components are made from lightweight carbon and polyurethane and have high levels of load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability.
If you’re the right type of car geek, that’s going to be music to your ears. Then again, it’s your eyes that are going to notice things like the custom front spoiler with active aerodynamics – which can fully extend automatically at speeds of over 120 km/h (74 mph), or at the push of a button between 80 km/h (50 mph) and 120 km/h. The rear spoiler however is stationary, yet still improves driving dynamics and stability by directing air flow.
Other custom bits mostly include the TechArt side skirts, roof spoiler, diffuser, sport tailpipes, aero wings and air vents.
If you want to go all out, you can get the Carbon Sport Package either for your Turbo or Turbo S, which includes the air outlet grille, aerowings, side mirrors, trims for side air intakes, roof spoiler and rear diffuser – all of which visible on this car, which TechArt accurately calls the ‘Dark Knight’.
The TechArt Formula IV wheels measure 21″ and are available in a bi-color format, featuring a basic yet sporty 5-spoke design.
Performance wise, there’s a 60 PS increase for the 911 Turbo, while the Turbo S goes all the way up to 620 PS (from its original 560 PS). Peak torque goes up to 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) for the Turbo S, though an overboost function will deliver 880 Nm (649 lb-ft).
Both power kits are activated at the simple push of the standard Sport button on the center console.
