Techart’s new Cayenne-based Magnum machine isn’t a stranger to us, but the German tuner’s latest take on the matter makes it look even more sinister.
With the blackened accents now seemingly integrated in the overall design (without creating any contrast with the vehicle’s body), the over-the top body-kit kind of suits the Cayenne, making it appear more aggressive, lower and ready for action.
The Cayenne’s newly acquired sense of massiveness is emphasized by the imposing wheel arches, big wheels and side skirts; but, truth be told, the front and rear aprons aren’t less imposing.
With its revised front fascia, the project now sports a splitter – which can be commissioned in carbon fiber, as with other parts – air intakes, revised airframes ducts and a restyled grille. Out the back, the same motif can be observed, with the air outlets on the rear three-quarter panels being the center of attention. The spoiler and the diffuser are real eye catchers as well, but when it comes to aerodynamically enhanced body panels, the carbon fiber hood – complemented by two outlets – is a real piece of engineering art.
Of course, the Magnum’s vicious exterior appearance is backed up by the monster that lies under the hood – at least in some cases. TechArt’s engine configurations can increase power from 80 PS to 180PS – depending on the model – with the Cayenne turbo getting around 700 PS and 920 Nm (679 lb-ft) of torque via a two-stage regulated power delivery system.
So, if you’re doubtful about the sporty character of this machine, remember, sumo is a sport.
