A classic Chevrolet Corvette C2 convertible is being offered for sale as a restoration project, for whoever has the time and money to return it to its former glory.
The drop-top sports car was produced back in 1966 and has been with its current owner since 1973. The man bought it and drove it for a few years and then he parked it in his garage, in the late 1980s, where it remained up to this date.
The seller says that the Corvette Stingray is complete, but not running. The car has a Milano Maroon exterior, reproduction knock-off wheels, a black interior, teak steering wheel, AM/FM radio, four-wheel stainless steel disc brakes, stainless steel exhaust system and a 327 small block engine.
The starting price was set at $20,000, on December 6, but 17 bidders fought over it 26 times and raised the price to $27,400, at the time of writing. The buyer is responsible for picking it up or arranging for transportation within 10 days after the auction will end, next Monday.
