It’s no secret that TVR is working on an all-new sports car set to debut in 2017, and here are some juicy insights about it along with the first official teaser.
The picture provided by the British carmaker indicates how the upcoming model could look like, staying true to its linage and DNA, although built to proper modern day standards of fit and finish, and aerodynamics.
Mind you, the final design of the vehicle has yet to be chosen, but TVR says that after hundreds of iterations, they’re at the point where they have number of final concepts differing only in relatively small details.
We can’t wait to see it, and if TVR is happy, then it will most likely be interesting, especially as the car is being developed using the very latest state-of-the art CAD software, in parallel with “old fashioned” physical seating bucks and scale clay models.
From our point of view, judging by the sketch, the idea looks pretty good, especially as it retains TVR’s core principles; short overhangs, long hood, fastback form and a little bit of madness.
Add to that a Cosworth-developed V8 engine and an iStream Carbon chassis made with the help of Gordon Murray, and you have a pretty interesting mix.
