Imagine driving legally your own vintage racer down to the track and you get the idea.

Meet Bradley Price, amateur racing driver and his lovely 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce, a road-legal racer with some nice period-correct modifications, in which he races at the Vintage Sports Car Club of America.

“I pack it up and drive to the track on the highway with modern cars around me, which is a little scary sometimes,” Bradley says in the latest Petrolicious video. “But I love the feeling of freedom that it gives me when you get to the track, you just unpack the car and you’re ready to go!”

The Lime Rock Park track is an excellent place for someone to enjoy a nimble vintage racer with a down-to-earth horsepower figure as it lacks long straights and requires drivers to maintain momentum through corners, allowing slower cars to stay with the more powerful machines.

“Because in the end of the day, you are the component of the car that needs the most work”, says Bradley. Amen to that.
