A number of “used” 918 Spyders have been listed for sale privately since the car’s launch.
Later this month, another example will be sold at an RM Sotheby’s auction. This particular 918 Spyder is a 2015 model, was produced in late 2014 and is number 804.
It has been optioned with the Weissach package, which, for $80,000, adds lightweight magnesium wheels, alcantara throughout the interior, carbon fiber on wing mirrors, windscreen frame, roof and rear wing as well as two prominent winglets on the rear bumper.
Elsewhere, this model has been installed with front-axle lift system, a function particularly important for a $1 million+ German hypercar if it’s not to scrape its chin on sleeping policemen. The is Metallic White and was a special order from the customer. To protect it, a full clear-bra has been installed.
The interior is adorned in black leather and alcantara and includes both green stitching and piping. Despite having just 1,500 miles on the clock, number 804 is currently in the hands of its second owner.
