The only V8-powered model in the M3’s history is featured in this video from BMW.

The fourth-generation M3 rolled off the assembly line back in 2007, right after its official presentation in Switzerland at the Geneva Motor Show, and it was offered in three body styles, the sedan (E90), the coupe (E92) and the convertible (E93).

This video highlights the two-door coupe version of the M3 and it follows a previous one where the Bavarian brand detailed its predecessor, the E46, as part of a five series that is all about the most successful model of the M family.

The E92 M3 was one of the most appreciated, thanks to the 4.0-liter V8 found under its hood, capable of sending 420PS (414hp) and 400Nm (295lb-ft) of torque to the rear-wheels. The E92 needs 4.8 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) and top speed is electronically limited to 250km/h (155mph).

However, rather than talk about its specs and development, we’d better let you check it out for yourself, below.
