GMC has introduced the new Sierra All Terrain X Special Edition, a pickup variant that features a more aggressive look and added off-road-oriented equipment.

The monochromatic design includes a unique front grille, body-colored parts, tinted chrome accents and body side moldings. There are also black accents on the side steps, side mirrors and B-pillars. Available colors include Light Steel Gray Metallic, Stone Blue Metallic, Iridium Metallic, Crimson Red Tintcoat, Summit White and Onyx Black.

The All Terrain X Special comes with standard AWD with Eaton locking differential, a Z71 Off-Road suspension package with Hill Descent Control, high-capacity air cleaner, Rancho monotube shocks and underbody transfer case shield, All-Terrain logo instrument cluster, inclinometer in the driver’s information center, and rear park assist.

Offered on the 2016 Sierra 1500 4WD crew cab / short box models, in SLT trim, the X package adds 18×8.5-inch black aluminum wheels wrapped in M/T Goodyear 265/65 tires, bed-mounted bar to support off-road LED lighting package, high-performance LED headlights and a performance exhaust, which bumps output of the 5.3-liter V8 to 365hp.

The new GMC Sierra All Terrain X Special Edition will go on sale this spring. Prices have yet to be announced.
