Development of the new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe continues throughout 2016, as more prototypes have been scooped out in the open.
It still refuses to reveal its shape, carrying the same boot cladding that makes it look like a previous-gen BMW 6-Series Coupe, in an attempt to trick any curious eyes that might catch a glimpse of it.
The final version of the two-door E-Class will sport a clean rear end with LED taillights. At the front, Mercedes will probably offer minor design updates over the new E-Class sedan and things should be similar in the cabin, where we expect the same technologies and material, in a four-seat layout.
A variety of petrol and diesel units will be carried over from the 2017 E-Class Sedan, including an AMG version be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, found on the C63 AMG and AMG GT. A plug-in hybrid might complete the lineup.
