Mercedes is laying the ground ahead of the Geneva Motor Show with another teaser of the C-Class cabriolet.

Unlike the previous two “sneak-peeks”, the German car maker’s latest teaser comes in video format and shows off some of model’s interesting features. By showing the car’s front fascia, it also confirms the fact that the car won’t be different from the sedan and estate – if you don’t count the missing roof, of course.

Keeping the classic, romantic vibe of cabriolets alive, the C-Class will feature a fabric rooftop. Still, that doesn’t mean it won’t be brimmed with state-of-the-art tech, including the AIRCAP windshield wind deflector and a wind protection system (among other things); the car will most likely feature Mercedes’ AIRSCARF technology, offered on its other drop-top models.

The upcoming C-Class Convertible will be offered with a variety of powerplants, including four and six options. The line-up is also expected to be completed – in the future – by an AMG variant, developing at least 503 hp and 700Nm (516lb-ft) of torque from a 4.0-litre V8 engine.

The drop top C-Class will be unveiled on February 28, but we’ll see it in the flesh at the Geneva Motor Show in the beginning of March.
