Extreme, durable, scary, the new Mercedes Sprinter Extreme Concept is everything you wished for in a post-apocalyptic world.
Built to promote the heavy-duty nature of the Sprinter Cab Chassis, Mercedes worked with RENNtech customizer in the creation of this beast which is over 20 feet long and has 6,400lbs of payload capacity and 7,500lbs of towing capacity.
“The Sprinter Cab Chassis is the most capable heavy-duty vehicle in its segment,” said Bernie Glaser, Vice President of Mercedes-Benz Vans in the USA. “The Sprinter Extreme concept has super-strength, unlimited hard-working capability and an aggressive design. Unlike most concepts, the foundation for the Sprinter Extreme can be ordered at a Mercedes or Freightliner dealership today with the help of our MasterUpfitter program.”
A custom roof rack was installed in order to support six forward facing lights with additional lights on the sides. Underneath the front bumper sits an also custom brush guard with additional fog lights and the always obligatory winch.
The wheels are inspired from a G-Class and are shod in aggressive off-road tires while the bodywork is wrapped in a very Jurassic Park shade of green and yellow. Oh, there are also chrome exhaust stacks to add some bling.
Scattolini ScattoMaax has provided their Tipper bed which is also available in the regular production Sprinter and can dump over 5,200lbs of payload to either side or to the rear, offering three ways of tipping.
We are always happy to see more crazy vehicles like this showing up but come on Mercedes, give us some more pictures of your zombie-killing machine!
