Niche British automaker Morgan looks set to launch the electric EV3 at the impending 2016 Geneva Motor Show on March 1.

The company’s website currently has a timer ticking down to the first press day of the auto show indicating that it will be showing a new model at the show. Complementing the countdown is a teaser image showing half of the vehicle’s front fascia and text that reads ‘Morgan GNV.016.EV3’.

Given the shape of the headlights and grille of the car in the teaser as well as the ‘EV3’ in the text, it seems likely Morgan will unveil the production-spec EV3 at Geneva.

The all-electric variant of the 3-Wheeler was released in concept-guise at last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed and will launch as the first model in Morgan’s future range of electric cars.

At this stage, it’s impossible to say how similar the road-going EV3 will be to the concept model. With that being said, there’s a strong chance it’ll retain the concept’s 100 hp electric motor, which replaces the 3-Wheeler’s traditional 2.0-liter V Twin petrol engine.

The launch of the EV3 at Geneva will also come exactly four years after Morgan revealed the all-electric Plus-E Roadster at the show.
