Ready to launch the unveil of the new-gen Scenic, Renault is happy to remind us that it created the compact MPV segment in Europe 20 years ago.
Since then, it sold nearly 5 million units, and now it’s gearing up for fourth generationis poised to introduce .
The 2017 Scenic was inspired by the 2011 R-Space Concept and it also features a three-part windscreen, just like in the Espace, for increased visibility and panoramic view.
A number of styling features will set it apart from the third generation of the compact MPV, which include the C-shaped headlights that benefit from LED Pure Vision technology on higher-end models, increased ground clearance, shortened rear overhang and wider tracks.
The new Renault Scenic will slot between the Captur and Kadjar SUVs, in terms of size, and will share the Megane hatch engine line-up.
Renault’s CEO, Carlos Ghosn, and Group’s SVP Corporate Design Laurens van den Acker, will unveil the new Scenic at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
