Ssangyong’s British arm has revealed a new DMZ limited edition for the Korando Sports, featuring army-inspired camouflaged paintwork, roof rails and 18in alloy wheels.
There are no mechanical changes done over this new limited edition, with the DMZ still powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 155PS and 360Nm of torque between 1,500rpm and 2,800rpm.
Fuel economy is a combined 37.7mpg UK while the flat rear deck offers enough space to take a euro pallet, with a payload rating of 1 tonne and a towing capability of up to 2,7 tonnes.
Customers can also choose from a range of optional hard covers for weather protection and security over the load area.
Ssangyong takes pride at the fact that the Korando Sports offers a coil-spring multi-link rear suspension instead of the dated leaf springs, giving their pickup a near-SUV character on the road and better NVH levels.
The DMZ is priced at £19,195 (excluding VAT), with the regular models starting at £14,495 (again, no VAT), making the Korando Sports the cheapest double cab pickup truck you can buy in the UK.
