A new Porsche 911 GT3 RS that had just been dressed in Gulf Oil livery took an accidental plunge in the water at the Porsche Centrum Amsterdam dealership in Holland, earlier today.
The managing director of Porsche Centrum, Hans Van der Valk, seemed rather calm about the incident involving the €270,000 (in the US, the 911 GT3 RS starts from $175,900) sports car when asked about it by local news.
“The car was parked on the waterfront and a mechanic made a mistake when trying to get the vehicle,” he explained, according to RTL news. “That is very unfortunate, but it can happen. When there are people, mistakes are made.”
All is not lost, though, as Van der Valk believes the car can be saved. “Only the tip was in the water and no one was hurt. There’s not much damage,” he said.
