Five months from now, the Italian manufacturer is believed to introduce the second body style of its supercar.
Discussed numerous times over the years, the upcoming Pagani Huayra Roadster will debut at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Quoting sources within the company, CarBuzz reports that work on the model is “almost finished”, as the car is in “final stages of development”.
Significant changes on top of the coupe should include the removal of the gullwing doors, a re-tuned suspension and some added weight on the re-engineered chassis, which will have to cope with the removal of the roof.
The Pagani Huayra Roadster is expected to be limited to just 100 units and even if one can afford its cost, buying a brand new model will be close to impossible, as 75 examples have already been accounted for.
Pagani will not end the development of its Huayra with the Roadster version, as the newer and more hardcore Huayra BC is also rumored to gain a drop-top variant too. Details, however, are extremely limited at the time, but it seems that one of the first owners will be Alejandro Salomon, who is believed to have ordered one.
