The Dieselgate scandal isn’t the only pocket-draining issue for the Volkswagen Group.
Porsche has recently announced a voluntary recall for 409,477 units of the 2011-2016 MY Cayenne, out of which 88,300 in the United States and 10,370 in Canada. The reason for the recall is a faulty component in the pedal mechanism.
“We are implementing a voluntary recall to inspect all Cayenne vehicles built during that period to ensure the clip is present and to re-install it if necessary“, Porsche announced.
The problem was identified during internal inspections and, so far, no accidents or injuries related to it have been reported.
Volkswagen is conducting a parallel campaign for the 2016 MY Touareg, which comes as no surprise, along with the platform, it shares many components with the Porsche. Reuters reports that 391,000 units are affected by the same problem.
After conducting the company for comment, the Independent states that no remedy for the diesel engines will be applied to said vehicles.
