The next iteration of Kia’s UVO infotainment and telematics system is now available on their flagship 2016 K900.
Known as UVO Luxury Services, the system includes features and functions such as local search by Google, dealership appointment system, remote vehicle command and control, all of them powered by LTE connectivity.
“We are taking the UVO platform to yet another level of enhancement for the Kia customer by enabling drivers and passengers to use all of their personal technologies more safely and easily, while creating exceptional user experiences“, commented Kia Motors North America Chief Technology Strategist, Henry Bzeih.
Kia’s UVO Luxury Services comes with an app too, which is compatible with Android and iOS, and can be downloaded from GooglePlay and iTunes, via the Kia App store. It can be used with features that include remote engine start/stop, preconditioning of the cabin temperature and lock/unlock and, integrated into the app is a full suite of My Car Zone items such as embedded Google Local Search, curfew, speed alerts and Geofence settings.
Maintenance and infotainment functions include enhanced Roadside Assist, 911 Connect, Manual Diagnostics, Automatic Diagnostics, Scheduled Diagnostics, Car Care Web, Driving Information, Vehicle Maintenance and eServices Guide, with many of them running through the smartphone app.
The manufacturer offers the UVO Luxury Services exclusively on the 2016 K900 and the feature is available at no cost for the first five years of ownership; no subscription is required.
