The infamous “Green Hell” has claimed the integrity of yet another vehicle, this time, a working prototype of the upcoming 2017 Audi TT RS.
The exact moment of impact wasn’t caught on video, but since nothing really happens on the ‘Ring without someone filming it, it wasn’t long until the test car had a camera lens pointed at it, making the two drivers pull a tarp from inside to quickly cover it.
With damages on both ends after crashing into the guardrail, the Audi TT RS was quickly loaded onto a flatbed and taken away for inspection.
The new TT RS is expected to debut sometime this year, in two versions, a coupe and a cabriolet, both powered by the same 2.5-liter five-pot mill that is believed to produce as much as 400 horses, paired to either a manual gearbox of a dual-clutch transmission.
