Lincoln’s third best-selling vehicle behind the MKZ sedan and the MKX SUV, the MKC, is entering the 2017MY with a handful of extra standard features and technologies to keep consumer interest going.
All 2017 MKCs now come with a standard power liftgate and ‘Auto Hold’, which according to Lincoln, “relieves the driver from having to press the brake pedal continuously to keep the vehicle stationary”, while the SYNC 3 infotainment system now includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.
Finally, the Auto Start-Stop system that automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle is stopped and idling to reduce fuel consumption, is now standard on the 2.0-liter front-wheel drive model, and available on the 2.0-liter all-wheel drive version.
Pricing for the 2017 model, which will continue to be offered with a choice of two EcoBoost gasoline engines, a 240hp 2.0L and a 285hp 2.3L, will be announced at a later date.
