This is a Porsche to die for, and no, it’s not a shooting brake.

We know Porsches had a notorious widow-making reputation back in the day – due to their awkwardly positioned engines – but this is ridiculous. Spotted in Italy, this Panamera hearse might just be most unusual Porsche we’ve seen in a while, but then again, nothing can improve the looks of the luxury-four-door model.

Unfortunately, we don’t know exactly what powerplant it houses under the hood, but those wheels come as standard with the Turbo and Turbo S models.

Granted, something tells us, by looking at the car, that a new set of wheels wasn’t the most challenging modification brought to it, but for argument’s sake, let’s assume it has a has 4.8-litre twin turbocharged V8 under its hood.

What would this car tell about the deceased? That the individual was a petrolhead in life, as in death, with an exquisite taste in luxury and elegance? Don’t be ridiculous, that’s what the Maserati hearse is for.
