With their first crossover model around the corner, Seat UK announced pricing and range details for the new Ateca.
The Nissan Qashqai-rivaling Seat will be offered initially in four trim levels, including a special ‘First Edition’, details of which will be announced on a later date.
Customers will be able to choose between five engines, including a three-pot turbocharged 115PS 1.0-litre TSI, a 150PS 1.4-litre TSI, a 115PS 1.6-litre TDI and a 2.0-litre TDI with 150PS and 190PS. The latter will be offered only in 4WD guise with a double-clutch DSG transmission.
A choice of eleven paint colors will be available, six of which to be offered for the first time in a Seat. Every Ateca will come equipped as standard with safety features like Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Protection, plus Tiredness Recognition.
The entry-level Seat Ateca will start at £17,990, over £500 cheaper than the Nissan Qashqai and around £2,000 less than the Ford Kuga, revealing the aggressive strategy the company is going to follow. The range-topping 190PS diesel version will cost £29,990.
UK orders begin in May 3rd with the first cars set to arrive in the UK on September.
