You know when someone puts too much effort to be cool and ends up looking ridiculous? That’s what this C6 Corvette-based ‘C7 Stingray Concept’ replica feels like.
The 2009 Stingray concept that inspired this build was a pretty neat design that passed some of its styling DNA (and name) to the current, C7-generation Corvette. Here, it’s as if the creator forcefully stuffed every design detail from the study before and after the cabin totally disregarding the importance of proportions, with the end result being reminiscent of an amateur Photoshop.
Only three of these replicas were ever built, one of which we showed you all the way back in 2010. The pictured model has GM’s 6.2-liter LS3 V8 hooked up to an automatic transmission having covered a little over 33,500 miles since new.
It’s listed for sale on eBay by PJ’s Auto World, which is asking for $39,900 or best offer for it, while also warning potential customers that “Due to the custom construction, this vehicle may not meet the requirements of some states”.
