We’re only 3 days away from the Beta release of Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, crafted specifically for Windows 10.
The team chose the name ‘Apex’ so as to represent the critical first step in the future of the Forza franchise as it moves into the PC space, where it will combine its proprietary ForzaTech engine with the power and performance of DirectX 12.
In other words, we’ll soon be looking at some very exciting 4K racing, all part of the game’s unique automotive experiences and rewards, plus a new career mode anchored by a 12-event “Showcase Tour”.
PC users will also get the chance to try the new “Spotlight Series” events which are said to be updated on a regular basis.
As far as providing gamers with a complete racing experience, Apex brings a diverse line-up of 63 Forzavista cars, each with working headlights, doors and cockpits, plus 20 different track configurations across six locations that include night and wet-weather variants.
Turn 10 will keep delivering open Beta updates throughout the summer, though keep in mind that you’ll need a very capable gaming PC if you want to get the most out of this type of video game. Other than that, you’ll be glad to know that Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will be available for free in the Windows Store this spring.
