Fiat has entered the medium-duty pickup truck segment with the new Fullback, the UK pricing and specification details for which were announced today.

Essentially a rebadged version of the Mitsubishi L200, the Fiat Fullback comes in two grades – SX and LX, with standard equipment such as 16-inch alloy wheels, remote central locking, electric windows and side mirrors, Bluetooth, DAB radio, leather trimmed-steering wheel and gearknob and air-con with rear vents. The start/stop system is also offered at no extra cost, along with hill start assist, cruise control with speed limiter, front fog lamps and LED DRLs.

Prices for the Fiat Fullback SX start at £20,995 ($29,735), without tax and delivery fees*, while the higher-specification LX manual can be had from £22,995 ($32,570). The better equipped version adds 17-inch alloy wheels, body-colored wheel arch protectors, Lane Departure Warning and rearview camera.

Power across the range comes from a 2.4-liter diesel engine, which is rated at 150 HP and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque in the SX, channeled to the four-wheel drive, with 3 settings – 2H, 4H and 4L, through a six-speed manual gearbox.

The LX has a bit more power, at 180 HP and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque, and its four-wheel drive system has four electrically-controlled settings: 2H, 4H, 4HLc and 4LLc, with a locking central differential. This version can be had with either a manual or an automatic transmission, with the latter priced from £24,395 ($34,555), without tax.

Fiat’s Fullback pickup truck will go on sale in the UK on July 4.
