Aston Martin’s long-awaited DBX crossover and all-electric Rapide are set to both arrive by 2019, each marking significant changes for the British marque.

These two cars will arrive after the next-generation Vantage and Vanquish hit the market and be complemented with the relaunch of the Lagonda brand.

Of the two new models, the purely electric Rapide will arrive first, towards the end of next year. While specifics about the model have yet to be released , Aston’s chief executive Andy Palmer has his sights on producing a luxurious and efficient sedan with between 800 and 1,000 hp. Given these power figures and its positioning within the luxury car market, it won’t rival the Tesla Model S and instead sit within its own space in the market.

The DBX meanwhile will hit the market before 2019 comes around. If Palmer’s hopes prove accurate, it will become Aston’s highest-selling model with sales potentially topping 7,000 units annually.
