Few, if any, cars are more suited to a smoky burnout than American muscle cars.
Combining big power with rear-wheel drive and a suitable level of bad-assery, it’s hard to look past the likes of the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and in this case, the Dodge Challenger SRT8. During a recent car event in Sweden, fans got a taste of what the Challenger is best at.
This particular car is owned by a local enthusiast who goes by the name Sheriff Von St. Pauli. To complement the police-themed name, the two-door has been decked out in a black and white police livery complete with bright blue and red flashing lights. The car is absolutely masterful at what real police officers hate to see; burnouts.
Power for the Challenger SRT8 comes courtesy of a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, delivery some 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. While those figures are someway shy of the range-topping 707 hp, SRT Hellcat, only so much power is needed to light up the rear wheels.
