RUF Automobile GmbH, one of the world’s most famous Porsche-based sports-car maker, announced the opening of an official representative office in the United Kingdom.
Formed in partnership with Richard and Mark Sekula, the new UK office becomes part of RUF’s international network that includes USA, Canada, Singapore, Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan and more.
“The opening of the UK office comes at an important time for us because our range of cars is now the strongest it has ever been”, said Estonia Ruf, Managing Director of RUF. “The reception we received at the 2016 Geneva Motor show this year was incredible and the level of interest in the latest RUF cars has exceeded all of our expectations.”
“The UK has tremendous potential for RUF cars and it will be our task to establish a sound base for both pre and post-sales support for customers in this country”, said Mark Sekula co-Director of RUF Automobile UK. “We feel that now is the perfect time for us to satisfy the needs of the high-performance and luxury sector based on our own current market experience here in the UK.”
RUF’s current range consists of the RTR, RGT, Turbo Florio, CTR3 Clubsport and the Boxster-based 3800S with each one of them capable of more than 200mph. Classic-bodied SCR models come with a 4.2-litre flat six engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission, making extensive use of carbon-fiber and offering up to 525hp.
The company also revealed at the last Geneva Motor Show the Ultimate Series with a full carbon body while owners of Porsche’s older models can still have their cars turned into a RCT Evo, Turbo R or a R56.11.
