Regardless of how many improvements GTA V since it moved up from the PS3 & Xbox 360 to the newer consoles, PC users are still the only ones enjoying all these new mods.
These mods range from the practical to the absurd, where the latter might look a little something like The Flash racing a Bugatti Chiron. As cool as that may sound (and ridiculous because Flash always wins), it doesn’t exactly improve an already aging game from a technical standpoint. This is where the Redux Overhaul re-shade mod comes in with its improved textures, lighting and much more. The mod’s developer, Josh Romito, has released not only a gameplay video, but also a “release date trailer” running at 60FPS.
Due to the much improved graphics, it really does seem at times like you’re staring at a new-gen game, like it’s not even GTA V. As Gamerant points out, you’ve got some great lighting and weather effects, though we’d imagine you need a seriously quick PC in order to run the game as well as possible – no minimum or recommended requirements have been released as of yet for the mod.
What do you think? Good enough to hold you over until GTA 6 comes out?
