Built as a celebration for Jeep’s 75th anniversary, the Wrangler Salute concept is proof that sometimes less is more.

This back-to-basics concept is based on a Wrangler Sport with the 3.6-litre V6 engine mated to a six-speed manual and is doing without any B-pillars and doors.

The result is a beautiful Jeep, painted in the same olive-drab color scheme of the original military Willys MB. A set of 16-inch steel wheels wrapped in non-directional tires, hood latches, a rear-mounted spare tire, steel front and rear bumpers with tow hooks and low back canvas seats complete the appearance of the Salute concept.

“We are creating this unique Jeep Wrangler 75th Salute concept vehicle in celebration of the brand’s legendary history, and to demonstrate that 75 years later, today’s iconic Wrangler is instantly recognizable and clearly connected to the original Willys MB,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand.

The 75th Salute concept was built exactly 75 years after Willys-Overland Motor Co. was awarded the U.S. government contract to build the first Willys MB. Come on Jeep, give us more photos of this beauty!
