If you’ve been wondering what Clarkson, Hammond and May are up to, this image might just give you a clue about the type of cars they’re interested in bringing together.
On one side, we’ve got the all-new 600 HP Aston Martin DB11 and, of course, it was going to be driven by Jeremy Clarkson, which he confirmed a few days back on his Twitter account.
Captain Slow helms the Rolls-Royce Dawn (also validated by Clarkson) while the Hellcat obviously belongs to Richard Hammond, known for his affection toward big American muscle cars.
So what type of comparison test is this? We do not know. It may just be a feature segment where they each choose the type of car they’d like to take to a specific location (in this case, Tuscany), which in turn means they know the three vehicles aren’t in any way direct rivals.
Clarkson already mentioned that the comparison test is weird so he probably doesn’t expect anybody to troll him about how these cars don’t belong next to each other.
The Grand Tour will debut on Amazon Prime later this year, while the first episode is set to be recorded in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 17.
